Welcome to Reflections for Youth
HELP US RECOVER FROM THE FLOOD!
On Sept. 12th and 13th the water line in the front of our Loveland Day Treatment School was near 5 ft with a direct current coming right into the building. The water split into two paths and surrounded the entire building. At some point, one of the glass doors to the school broke allowing water to rush inside the facility. The water line inside the school reached over 3 feet and left over 3 inches of muck and mud on the floors, furniture and walls. Most all our possessions were destroyed. The school library, our downstairs classroom and all therapy offices were hit hard.
Once we could transport our students safely we set up classrooms in the living rooms of our residential homes that were not affected by the flood. These temporary classrooms have challenged our teachers and students. All the technology we had for the youth such as computers and smart boards are currently inoperable. The bottom floor of facility is key to providing a separation of youth with different behavioral issues and providing the safest and best care. It also is the hub of all our therapy activities that support clinical therapy in all Reflections for Youth programming. Our flexible and strong therapists are managing out of their cars and small spaces within the residential homes.
Our Mission: Helping families, youth and children in crisis create a path to success by building resiliency, inner wealth and healthy relationships.
